I have purchased this product because at the store they told me I would be able to play at random through the discs, and even though I set it up for Random All disc, it is not doing it. Am I doing something wrong?
This unit has the ability to play random song on one disc, then switch randomly to another disc and play the song of that disc at random. However it does not have the feature of playing one song at random of one disc, then switch to another song on another disc. This is because the unit would have to stop the disc, turn the tray to the randomly selected disc, read the TOC (Table of Contents) and then start playing the disc. That takes too much time, and it wouldn’t' t be convenient.
I was listening my favorite disc from my favorite band and it suddenly stopped. Now the unit won't respond at all, neither from the remote nor from the front panel buttons. I tried turning it off, but I couldn't turn it off. I unplugged it and plugged it back in but now it won't open the tray so I cannot get the CDs out. What can I do?
It is not normal that the unit stops suddenly and gets stuck. Was there any surge (power outage) or lightning storm that may have damaged it? How much time did you leave it unplugged? Have you forced the tray in anyway?
This seems to be a mechanical failure on the unit. Please unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes and then plug it back in and try again. Please do not force the tray or any other part of the unit in any way. You should refer to the place of purchase so that the technicians can check the unit and they will also be able to take out the discs that are inside the unit.
I am trying to play a CD that I just recorded on my computer, but I get No Disc/Wrong Disc/Error on the display. Why is that?
It depends:
-Did you try the disc on another CD Player? Did it work?
-Did you try the disc on the computer? Did it work?
-Was there any error message during/after recording that disc? If so, check with the Developer (manufacturer) of the recording software you are using to see what that error means and if that caused the disc not to be properly recorded.
-Did you copy that disc from an original retail disc? Some of them have a copy protection and you will be able to copy them, but the copy will not work.
-Is it a regular Audio CD, or it is an MP3/WMA Disc? If it is an MP3/WMA CD please refer to the manual for the specifications your CD should follow in order to work properly on this unit.
It supports up to 999 tracks per CD; 32-320 kbps for MP3 files and 64-160 kbps for WMA both at 44khz; burn the disc at a 4x or a maximum of 8x speed; also make sure the songs are not copyright protected or the unit won't play it.
Can I program the player to listen some songs from some discs in the way i desire?
Yes. The player will allow you to program the songs (up to 60) to play them in the way you want. To do this you will need to press the mode/prog button when the disc is in stop mode. The memory icon will be visible on the lcd display. Press the cd direct button to select from which disc you want to select the desired track. Press the foward skip button >> or the backward skip button << to select the track. Press the mode/prog button again to enter the selection into the program memory. When programming is complete press play and if you want to clear the program memory, press the stop button twice while the system is in stop mode.
